Miss last year’s Septic 101 workshop? You can still watch the recording here.
Learn the basics from public health experts:
Where is your septic system?
How to take care of it
What to do when there's a problem
Buying, building, adding an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) or selling a house with a septic system
We are Vashon Team Septic
Also known as THE SEPTIC SISTERS, we're a volunteer group here to help island neighbors build and maintain healthy septic systems.
What burning questions do you have about your septic? We’ve compiled some basic Q&As based on what we’ve heard so far. Feel free to contact us if we don’t answer your question here.
Another great resource is King County’s Sanitarian of the Day. Leave a voicemail with your “What if?” questions at 206-477-8177 and they will get back to you with advice within 1-2 business days. You don’t need to tell them your name or location.
HELP!
We're here to help island neighbors build and maintain healthy septic systems. We have compiled a list of companies that deal with the various issues that can occur with your system from backed-up toilets to dodgy drain fields to building a system in the first place.
